Jonty Sherwill has numerous published articles in Yachting World, as well as Boat International, Seahorse, Yachts & Yachting, and ClubSwan Magazine. These range from new yacht tests, eg. Nautor Swan 90, classic yacht reviews,eg. Mariquita, technology features for Future Fibres, plus major regatta reports and competitor profiles.

In 2001 Jonty was invited by Yachting World to join the judging panel for the Concours d'Elegance at the 150th America's Cup Jubilee, reviewing probably the finest fleet of classic sailing yachts ever to be gathered at Cowes. During the event Jonty steered the classic Swan 65 ketch 'Eva' in the Jubilee regatta.
